Off Duty Services is proud to be a partner with the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF). The mission of the NLEOMF is,“ to tell the story of American law enforcement, honor the fallen and make it safer for those who serve.”.
Through the year, the Memorial Fund coordinates events that honor fallen officers and their loved ones. New names are engraved on the Memorial in Washington D.C. each April, and formally dedicated in May during Police Week at the annual Candlelight Vigil. May 15th was named as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week in which May 15th falls in is named National Police Week. These dates were proclaimed in 1962 by President Kennedy to pay special recognition to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. 1 officer is killed every 58 hours, that’s an average of 151 officers per year. Off Duty Services recognizes all law enforcement officers for their sacrifices for our community.
This year, Off Duty Services is hosting the 2nd Annual Chili Cook Off in Katy, TX. The proceeds for this event will be going directly to the National Law Enforcement Officer Memorial Fund to assist in the fund’s mission and bring awareness to the law enforcement industry. We are looking forward to making a difference with our community and are excited to see you at our event!
